About Maria

A long-time Melbourne journalist and editor, Maria Harris was the founding property editor of The Weekly Review (now Domain) a position she held for seven years. She established her own freelance copywriting business upon leaving TWR in 2017.

Her 30-plus years in communications have included metropolitan daily newspaper and magazine journalism, current affairs television production, media management and – most recently – writing about Melbourne’s prestigious real estate market. She has seen more than 3000 homes.

Maria believes it is a great privilege to be invited into people’s homes, to view their most prized possession, listen to their stories and then write copy to inspire potential buyers to visit the property.
